Eggersdorf (Niemcy)

In 1991, brothers Bert and Mike Schieferdecker founded their sun protection systems business in a garage. Just two years later, they expanded by investing in several foreign blinds production facilities. Today, their powerful family-owned company operates its own facilities in Berlin, Strausberg, Neuhardenberg, and Poland.

The company quickly became a regional market leader in sun and all-weather protection. Known as experts in custom constructions, they specialize in unique solutions for asymmetrical glazing. Their extensive product range is supported by numerous innovative in-house developments and acquisitions from other industries. Significant projects using Soltis and Verseidag products include a €1.4 million contract for counter-pull awnings with Soltis 92 for the Norwegian State Bank.

Their goal is to create ideal sun protection solutions that align with all stakeholders’ expectations. As buildings frequently change their use, they must still meet the latest building code requirements for summer heat protection. Planning building envelopes that meet the energy needs of the coming decades is a significant technical challenge. Currently, they are implementing extensive renovations on their factory premises and expanding their exhibition area by 1,000 m².
